About Us
LG Metalworks owner and principal machinist Gary Fleener is a life-long resident of Monroe County, Indiana. Gary grew up on a family farm, which gave him many opportunities to learn mechanical skills. While working on the farm, Gary always enjoyed figuring out "how things worked" and the challenge of learning to maintain and repair equipment.
After attending college, Gary returned to Monroe County. He had the privilege to work in a scientific research machine shop setting, where he learned the machining trade from several very skilled machinists. Being in a scientific research setting allowed Gary to work one-on-one with the professors and students, fabricating their research instrumentation. He worked as a machinist in this setting for 27 years. Gary became an expert at solving unique scientific problems using his machining skills during that time.
Later, Gary and his wife Linda started LG Metalworks, a full-service CNC machine shop. With well over three decades of experience serving various industries, you can rely on Gary's expertise to help solve your most complex production problems. LG Metalworks has the expertise to take on almost any project, big or small, from production jobs and prototyping to custom or legacy parts.
